vision

Curried Myrrh is an artisan enterprise creating accessories and fashions from upcycled and restyled vintage and reclaimed fabrics, furs, beads, buttons, jewelry and clothing. Curried Myrrh is inspired by the beauty and diversity of indigenous cultures worldwide. And in our designs we are commited to revealing and reflecting the compelling lovliness found within each tribe in its expression
of ornament and traditional handwork. We wish to explore and appreciate ethnic headdressing; the meanings within, and the exquiteness of the handwork manifested. Curried Myrrh intends to bring back the headdress as an ornament of beauty, power, courage, and strength to our modern culture. And it is my deep dream to network and partner with organizations/individuals involved in supporting indigenous peoples by purchasing their handwork, initiating a sponsorship where we can help create a more sustainable platform of living for them.

Curried Myrrh begins this vision by committing support to 'Samaritans Purse' (http://www.samaritanspurse.org/), an international aid organization with a program that supports women by offering vocational tools and training. A percentage of every sale will be applied to this project.
